Incentive programs are limited-time efforts designed to achieve a goal that is likely beyond routine  expectations. Use these general guidelines you put together contests and incentive programs that will be  meaningful and produce results.

  • Be sure it rewards the accomplishment, not merely the actions towards the accomplishment. For  example, you enrolled 10 more families, or retained families at 95%, versus you followed up an  average of four times.
  • Your incentive program must be clearly understandable and achievable for all participants.  Otherwise, it can de-motivate, rather than motivate them.
  • Make rewards something you know they value for professional growth or personal enjoyment.  Think child care conference registration, spa days, etc.

With measureable steps, a deadline to achieve them, and a good dose of creativity and fun, incentive  programs can be an effective way to launch center teams toward enrollment goals.
